Road closure has been extended through August 1st
DOTD closure of LA 1143 daily between the hours of 6:00 am and 6:00 pm for a 2 week period to install new cross drain pipes.
DOTD is requesting permission to use Muria Rd. and Little Chenier Rd. as a detour route. A detour is needed as the road is too narrow to install the pipes ½ at a time, (pipe lengths are 8’).
This proposal has been discussed with the Creole Fire Department who indicated no objection.
DOTD will place message boards at both ends of the project and detour signs along the route.
