Public Transit

Cameron Parish Public Transit through the Cameron Council on Aging operates 5 days per week 8 am to 4 pm.  For longer hours, please call us at 905-6000 to work out details.  The vehicles utilized are handicapped equipped and the drivers are trained to handle special needs.  To set up a ride simply call 905-6000, extension 1.  The dispatcher will take the request and set up the trip.  The agency needs to know at least 24 hours in advance.  The program is a demand response system with no special routes.  The Transit Program serves the entire parish of Cameron.

Persons under the age of sixty are charged a fare.
Parish to Parish – $15
Community to Community – $8
Within the Community – $4

Persons age sixty and above ride for free.  For persons who need a caregiver with them, the caregiver rides for free.
