Welcome to the journey of Cameron Parish’s outdoor life!  Residents and visitors can find a wide variety of activities throughout our parish parks and beaches.  Cameron Parish has 26 miles of accessible beaches which can offer a variety of family interest. The Cameron Parish Police Jury maintains 5 parish parks and 6 parish boat launches.

Davis Road Boat Launch is located at 799 Davis Road, Cameron, LA  70631, just a half a mile south of the Cameron Jetty Pier Facility.

Hackberry Boat Launch

Hackberry’s public boat launch is located at 295 Channel Drive in Hackberry, LA..
Directions – Take exit 20 off Interstate 10, in Sulphur, LA and head south.LA–1256 South becomes LA–27.Turn left onto Old Town Road; Turn right onto Magnolia Road; Turn left onto Channelview Drive; Turn right onto Channel Drive Channel Drive.At the end of Channel Drive, you will find the Hackberry boat launch and walking trail.

Jetty Pavillion

GENERAL CONDITIONS:
  • The pavilion is available from 6:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m.
  • The pavilion will NOT be rented to anyone under the age of 21.
  • The Cameron Parish Police Jury shall NOT be responsible for any injury to any persons attending a function at the pavilion.
  • ANy damages to either the pavilion or facilities not reported to guard upon arrival shall be responsibility of the signed user of the Jetty Pavilion Rental Agreement.
  • Fund raising events need to be for a charity or non-profit organization.  These organizations must obtain a certificate of liability insurance in the amount of $100,000 naming the Cameron Parish Police Jury as the holder.  A copy of the insurance must be sent to the Cameron Parish Police Jury Administration Office two weeks before the date of the function.
  • Barbecue Pits and Burners are not allowed on slab.
  • Crawfish/Shrimp/Crab tails and scraps are to be placed in a trash bag and put in the trash bends provided.
  • A “NO TOLERANCE” policy will be followed at the facility.
  • The use of vulgar language and profanity will not be tolerated on park premises.
  • If you want to fish on the pier you must purchase a $5 wristband from the guard.
  • Noise will be kept to a minimum.
  • All rules and regulations posted at the pavilion will be followed.
PAVILION FEES & CONFIRMATION OR RESERVATIONS:
Pavilion Rental for 4 Hours – $100
Pavilion Rental for 8 Hours – $200
Pavilion MUST be CLEANED after function.
There is a user fee for the use of the pavilion in the amount that is set by the Cameron Parish Police Jury.  Reservations will be on a fist come first serve basis.  If the reservation is CANCELLED by the reserving party no more than 30 days prior to the reservation date, a full refund will be made.  If less than a 30 day notice is given on a cancellation by the reserving party, only half of the money will be refunded.  In the case of a hurricane evacuation, you will be refunded the full amount.
HOW TO RENT THE JETTY PAVILION:
  • The Jetty Pavilion must be rented IN PERSON at the Cameron Parish Police Jury Administration Office.  The office is in the West Annex, located next to the Cameron Courthouse. (148 Smith Circle, Cameron, LA).
  • Payments may be accepted in cash, check, money order or credit card.  (There is a $5 fee for the use of a credit card.)

Jetty R/V Park

GENERAL CONDITIONS:
    • Overnight Camping fee is $25.00
    • Check in time is 2:00 p.m.
    • Check out time is 1:00 p.m.
    • The facility has only water and electrical hookups.
    • Campers cannot stay in Jetty R/V Park over five (5) days.
    • Campers will receive two (2) wristband passes with an overnight stay.
    • Campers must have wristband on them during the entire stay.
    • The facility gate is locked from 9:00 p.m – 6:00 a.m.
    • Campers will be given the gate combination and must only use it in case of emergencies.
    • Campers are not allowed to let anyone in the facility during the hours of 10:00 p.m – 6:00 a.m!
    • Pets must be on a leash at all times.
    • Pets are NOT allowed on pier.
    • Tents and Pop-Up Campers are not allowed.
    • All Campers must have a License Plate in order to stay at the facility.
    • Violating any of the rules will result in action of you leaving the facility with no refund.
    • Fish are not to be cleaned under the pavillion.
    • Fish waste is not to be thrown away in trash binds.

Reservations:

  • R/V lots can be reserved in advance by calling 337-775-5127 (7 days a week / 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.)
  • R/V lots are to be paid by cash, check, money order or credit card, in order to reserve them.  (There is a $5 fee for the use of a credit card.)
  • Send payment to: Cameron Parish Police Jury, Attn: RV Payment, P.O. Box 1280, Cameron, LA 70631.
  • Reservations must be canceled 48 hours in advance, between the hours of 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.  Rain Checks may be given for emergency closures.
