November 9, 2026 – Full Roadway Closure: LA 82 From North Island Road to Superior Canal Bridge Issued

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced a full closure on LA 82 from North Island Road to the Superior Canal Bridge, beginning 12:00 a.m. Monday, November 9, 2026, through 11:59 p.m. Tuesday, November 24, 2026.

The full closure will be in effect Monday through Friday.

Detour information:

-Motorists heading eastbound on LA 82 will be detoured via LA 82 to LA 27, to LA 14 to LA 35, then LA 82.

-Motorists heading westbound on LA 82 will be detoured via LA 82 to LA 35, to LA 14, to LA 27, then LA 82.
