This Request for Proposal (RFP) seeks a vendor to supply the appropriate materials and equipment, as well as training and support of local Cameron Parish staff to install and operate (37) watershed rain gauge and flood alert monitoring devices throughout Cameron Parish, Louisiana. The project is funded under the U.S. Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Louisiana Office of Community Development (LOCD) Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery (CBDG-DR), Louisiana Resilient Infrastructure Program (RCIP), to Cameron Parish Police Jury (CPPJ). RCIP was established under the State’s Action Plan for the Utilization of CDBG-DR Grant Funds in Response to 2020 and 2021 Federal Declarations Disasters and ensuing Action Plan Amendments. Through RCIP, the Parish seeks to address unmet needs in geospatial data to enhance resilience, reduce risks from future hazard events, and minimize reliance on federal funding in future disasters. The project is part of Cameron Parish’s recovery and resilience efforts, aligning with the Parish’s hazard mitigation and planning strategies. This CBDG-DR project is assigned Project # 12LDRC7704, and titled Watershed Rain Gauge and Flood Alert Project.
