The Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ) has changed the date of the public hearing for the proposed Venture Global CP2 LNG project in Cameron Parish due to the prolonged power outage scheduled for May 21st JDEC.

• Location: Cameron Parish Multi-Purpose Building, 122 Recreation Center Lane, Cameron, LA 70631
The public comment period has also been extended through Monday, June 1, 2026, at 4:30 PM.
The hearing is for residents and interested groups to give comments about the project’s proposed water discharge permit and environmental review. It will not include a question-and-answer session.
The proposed permit involves water discharges associated with the CP2 LNG Terminal project, including stormwater and other industrial wastewater discharges into Calcasieu Pass and the Calcasieu Ship Channel.
