Early Notice and Public Review of a Proposed Activity in a Federal Flood Risk Management Standard Designated Floodplain or Wetland

This is to give notice that Royal Engineers & Consultants, LLC (Royal), on behalf of the Cameron Parish Police Jury, as Responsible Entity under 24 CFR Part 58, has conducted an evaluation as required by Executive Order 11990, in accordance with HUFD regulations at 24 CFR 55.20, Subpart C, Procedures for Making Determinations on Floodplain Management and Protection of Wetlands. The purpose is to determine the potential affect that its proposed activity in the floodplain and wetland will have on the human environment for the Disaster Relief (DR) – Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) – Resilient Community Infrastructure Program (RCIP) through the Louisiana Office of Community Development (OCD), U.S. Department of Housing and Development (HUD) for the following projects bearing grant numbers:
- 12LDRC7701 – Holly Beach Open Pavilion;
- 12LDRC7702 – Town of Cameron Stormwater Control System;
- 12LDRC7703 – Town of Cameron Replacement of Sewer Lift Station Components; and
- 12LDRC7704 – Cameron Parish-Wide Watershed Rain Gauge Monitoring System.
The Cameron Parish Police Jury will be identifying and evaluating practicable alternatives for these projects and the potential impacts on the floodplain/wetland from the proposed action, as required by Executive Order 11988 Floodplain Management, Executive Order 11990 Protection of Wetlands, and in accordance with HUD regulations at 24 CFR 55.20, Subpart C.
